Welcome to the Party
from hip hop DJ to Harsh Noise!

Michael Scott started his musical adventures as a breakdancer in 1988 in the San Diego area. This led to extensive activities as a DJ and a producer throughout the 1990s in the hip hop scene. In the 2000s he expanded his sound trip into the worlds of circuit bending, avant garde, experimental music and Noise as Koobaatoo Asparagus. Welcome to the Party is a concept album containing tracks from the 90s all the way up to electronic Harsh Noise of the present day.

Welcome to the Party is a timeline concept album presenting originals of old material from when I DJed, breakdanced, and produced in the 1990s, up to circuit bent and harsh noise material in 2014.

Track A1 is a DJ mixtape recording session, 1991, made with two Technics 1200 turntables, Gemini mixer, Technics double cassette deck.
Tracks A2-5 from my first cassette pro release, called A Glimps Of Venus, made with Ensoniq Mirage keyboard & Tascam Portastudio 424. Recorded 1996. Lyrics by Charles Barrnett.
Track B1 is from a Hip Hop experimental beat cassette recorded in 1990, with Ensoniq Mirage.
Track B2 Circuit Bent Kawasaki keyboard and Digitech BP200.
Track B3 Circuit Bent Cheap made in China toy keyboard and Circuit Bent Speak & Math.
Track B4 is an Experimental Harsh Noise track made with DOD Death Metal, Boss Super Overdrive SD-1, Boss MT-2 Metal Zone, Big Muff.
Tracks B2-4 recorded September 2014.
