Another delve into the cassauna catalogue...interested to find this late Schnitzler; a towering and prolific figure, this is all you would want it to be...edgy and expansive but also capable of intimately observed minutiae...insistent foregrounding as well as nebulous depth of field...and somewhat ominous and eery...perfect! what should have been originally released. the lo-fi nature works wonderfully in the record's favor... feels very natural. bailey plays off of the backing quite nicely! james

It's Schnitzler, that's why! These are unreleased (as far as I know) recordings from 1972, and they show his typical style of rhythmic synth music (some ambient, too). One drawback: No liner notes. Still, a great album.
