Taipei to Tampa is a musique concrete collaboration between Niniji and Meg Eliza, who each contributed field recordings from their home cities. Niniji designed the project art using digital collage with photos from each of us- one of Meg's bunny, and a streetscape Niniji passes by daily (the sign says “Stop, Look, Listen” in Chinese). Meg mixed the field recordings into a musique concrete piece that begins in Taipei, then halfway through, transports across the world to Tampa. Field recordings from each location include radio, chatter and city life. Niniji's field recordings also included frogs and cicadas in the city which can be heard at the beginning of the piece.
